Five Minutes Vivid

Five Minute Friday is an exercise in writing without over-thinking.

1. Write for 5 minutes flat with no editing, tweaking or self critiquing. (I still struggle with this.)

2. Link back to the Gypsy Mama and invite others to join in.  (The button code can be found in the side bar on her site.)

3. Go and tell the person who linked up before you what their words meant to you.

Today’s prompt is Vivid.

Begin

Five Minutes VividVivid. Vividly. Very favorable word. Vivid. What does it bring to mind? Color, life, being in the moment. That is vivid to me. That clarity of sight that makes reality almost sureal. Techicolor. Maybe something epic. I love those vivid moments that imprint themselves in my brain. They can be recalled in that pristine clarity, vivid. I have moments like that. My dad at show and tell with me in kidergarten. Watching them place my daughter upon my belly. Watching them place my son on my belly. My mom’s smile when I share exciting news with her. So many snapshots of vivid life captured within my mind. Every one of them bringing back a heart swelling warmth when viewed. They are my favorite photo album…
